Fault injection

Communication loss

Drop an agent's messages to others

Injection definition

Communication loss simulates network partitioning, packet drops, and channel disruption by dropping all outgoing and incoming messages for targeted agents (randomized onset between steps 40–60). While agents continue to perceive local observations and execute local actions, inter-agent coordination signals and global state synchronization are blocked, forcing agents to operate uncoordinated or rely on local inference.
